Senior ML / CV Engineer
What you will own.
Develop and evaluate detection and tracking models. Improve performance on flight data and maintain reproducible experiments.
What we expect from you.
- Explain your personal contribution to a CV project, including dataset quality, baseline selection and held-out evaluation.
- Write maintainable training code and communicate when a result reflects data leakage, an unrepresentative test or an unresolved limitation.
What you will do.
- Build reproducible training and evaluation experiments for ACT-1 using approved, traceable image and video datasets.
- Investigate model errors across lighting, motion and sensor conditions instead of relying only on an aggregate benchmark.
- Maintain dataset splits, experiment records and regression checks so reported improvements can be independently reproduced.
- Work with inference and data engineers to move promising models into a tested edge deployment.
What you bring.
- Python, PyTorch and OpenCV.
- Detector and tracker training, augmentation and imbalanced datasets.
- ONNX/TensorRT model export.
- Linux, Git, Docker and experiment tracking.
Useful, not essential.
- Thermal imagery and domain adaptation.
- C++ inference experience.
What good looks like.
- An experiment that another engineer can rerun from versioned data and configuration.
- A model improvement accompanied by error analysis and confirmation that important regression cases remain covered.

We are an early-stage, founder-led company. Expect hands-on work, changing priorities and direct responsibility for a clearly defined area. Write down decisions, raise risks early and distinguish demonstrated results from assumptions.
